M4 Dublin - Sligo

The Route

The N4 route is a national primary road running from Dublin to Sligo. The road is a dual carriageway starting at O'Connell Bridge in Dublin. From here it heads along the Quays in Dublin and intersects the M50 at Junction 7. It then forms a motorway after the Leixlip exit turning back into a dual carriageway after Kinnegad.

It remains a dual carriage way until after the Mullingar bypass, then forming a single carriageway until it hooks up with a 2+2 type dual Carriageway at Dromod. After Carrick-On-Shannon it goes back to single carriageway until it forms a dual carriageway again at Collooney heading into Sligo.

The Association
The Team at MOTORWAYCARE are very proud of its association with the Construction of this fine motorway route. The Team first became involved with this route in 1996 by providing a full installation service on the road safety barrier elements on the Mullingar bypass, then working at providing both noise and safety barriers on all other stages to wire rope safety barriers installation along the first ever 2+2 type routes at N4 Dromod Rooskey bypass. In 2005 our team completed the first ever wire rope safety barrier installation in Ireland, unique customised wire rope installation equipment was imported from Sweden, completing this Project in record time and to the highest quality.
